Lori & Raul's wedding day was a particularly special occasion for a few reasons. Family and friends gathered from locations literally across the world (a recurring theme throughout the day, as in both Lori & Raul's globetrotting lives!) to celebrate the couple as they start their life together, and what a lovely celebration it was... Lots of laughter, joy, and a true sense of community was present in each moment that passed. The venue - Round Peak Vineyards - is tucked away in the North Carolina foothills, and provided a stunning backdrop & atmosphere.

While it's always an incredible privilege to be invited to photograph a couple's wedding day,  I'm especially touched to have been present in capturing Lori & Raul's story that perfect summer day. Hearing of the unexpected loss of Lori's father shortly after the wedding brought a heaviness to my heart, having lost my own father less than a year ago. It also served as a palpable reminder of why I chose this profession, and the importance of capturing memories and telling stories through images. My sincerest condolences are extended to Lori, Raul, and their family as they navigate the emotions of this difficult, bittersweet time. I am so grateful that you all were able to enjoy this momentous day together, and I hope that each time you look at the photos from this day, they bring a smile to your faces and a warmth to your hearts.
